Faith instead of Fear

This morning, instead of heading to church, i decided to go "online church".
Found a great, inspiring message by Ps. Joel Osteen, entitled "Activate Faith instead of Fear".
Many of us, including me, often abandon our God-given FAITH and always get overwhelmed with this thing called FEAR. It's common everywhere, around us, friends or family who are constantly worried about almost everything 24/7. And will worrying get us anywhere any better??
The answer is "NO".
God's word just hit me a few days ago. Jesus said, "And who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" in Matthew 6:27
Though i've read this passage a million times, it just hit me perfectly in the head that I can't solve my problems even when i worry too much. In other words, God was trying to tell me,
"What's the point of worrying?"
In Joel Osteen's message, he said, we should wake up in the morning with positive thoughts like,
God is gonna bless me today, surely goodness and mercy will follow me TODAY! =)
Say, I believe God is directing my path in his way.
Expect victory, not defeat or failure.... If God closes this door, He's gonna open a better door for you!!
We also get easily affected by suggestions given by people around us, eg:
Let's say you feel normal this morning, nothing bad affected you. Suddenly, a friend comes along and said "Hey, are you okay? You look really pale today."
Then you say, "Really? But I feel fine. Hmm, perhaps i didn't have enough sleep last night."
Another friend comes by and asks you, "Do you need rest? You have puffy eyes and your voice sounds like you're having a cold."
You reply, "I didn't realise that. I guess it was really cold last night. I think i'd better go see a doctor later."
You were fine in the morning, when u just got up. And now, you think that you're sick just because some people around you influenced your mind!
Fear is contagious! So beware! Be strong in faith and believe for good things coming your way! Don't worry about anything, but in everything give thanks!!
PRAISE THE LORD!

My 1st week of experiments with food

With some advice from mum, ingredients, gas, utensils and sauce, u can create magic! And throughout the whole week, i became a so-called "chaplang" chef.. hahaha and the menu of the week is:

Monday: Spaghetti bolognaise, with chicken meat. XD

Tuesday: Chicken porridge ( no pics, coz it didn't turn out really well, meat was kinda hard and carrot was uncooked..lolz)

Wednesday: -take a rest- Bread with mashed boiled eggs and campbell soup

Thursday: Mee suah soup with vege and sliced chicken
(note that the black small sprinkles are over-fried onions =X )

Friday: Fried rice with chicken, carrot and tomato
(taste much better than my previous fried rice)

Saturday: Break-time, enjoying a cup of hot Milo and 3slices of bread while the weather was chilly after the rain had stopped

Saturday nite's supper: Chee Cheong Fun!
hahaha still felt hungry even after eating tomyam rice outside.. of coz' i'm not the cook!!

Cooking is an ongoing learning process where you have go to thru' trial and error! Definitely won't taste "mamma mia" for the 1st time but keep trying! You'll get there, chef!

Back for the weekend

There were 2 "unidentified" guys who followed me back in the bus to Kuantan. Hhmm, very conscious about the pandemic virus people. Muahahahahaa...
Before Darren flew off to USA, we hang out at the mall and played our FINAL match of bowling coz i don't think anyone will be excited as darren or me to go bowling...others will be like "Dun wan lah, so expensive"..........or "I dunno how to play" -.-" I'm not saying that I'm a pro ..ahem...but i beat 3 guys in this final game!!! Dude, i feel like i'm on top of the world.....Muahahahhaha i noe i'm exaggerating but just let me enjoy the moment 4 awhile. It ain't easy, ya noe. U can see the results of the game below:

In translation:

Chun Kit scored 65 (not bad for a start)
Darren scored 89 (which was sooooo close in beating my score but he didn't- now he couldn't show his fist pump =P )
Lam scored 39 (he ate something wrong that morning.....hahhaa no la....just wasn't his day)
and I scored a total of 109!!! (it was totally "my day" and i used new skill to break a good record) ~What a wonderful world~ hehhehee.......

By the time i spare in my last round, they disappeared from the alley! Apparently, they weren't satisfied with their OWN performance and they lost to a girl! Boohoo =P

Well well, time to say goodbye to our dear lame fren, LAME D....hahhaha i'm sure u're enjoying americano cappucino and grilled hotdogs now! Yuumm, makes me feel like eating 'em! Bon voyage !

more from camp

2nd day after the camp, i had some discomfort and puking....not only me but about 75% of us who went for camp got sick! Well, we haven't dig out what's the main cause yet. Anyway, i don't know why i felt uneasy 1 day after d camp, quite alot of us had slow reactions in our body...hahahha...Strange.....
aNyway, here's the front view of the camp.

The bridge linking big,air-conditioned hall to sinking tents and the muddy jungle

Felicia, Evelyn and me.... Haven't really wake up yet.. Heeeeee

Cute tent pose!! =P
(exhausted after busting our butts in playing games under the hot sun,
happy to go home!)

Camp for body aches and bruises

Alas, i went through orientation camp and came back in 1 piece!! Hahahhaaaha it was a 3 days camp at Tapah, foothill of Cameron Highlands.
Right after class on Fri, we grabbed our bagpacks and off we hopped on BAS SEKOLAH =x
Couldn't sleep in the bus at all coz of the chattering and blasting of radio.hahaha
It was raining kinda heavy when we reached our campsite.....and we had to pitch our own tent~! Anyway, our camp was one of a kind, we named it the Titanic camp! Lolz......easy, coz it look like it was sinking in the middle. Hhahahhaa don't know why our camp was so special lah...lolz but thank God it didn't collapse or allowed any water to leak in, unlike my worst experience during camping in NS.....that was like a pond full of rain water!Tada...the sinking of G49...side angle is more obvious..hahaha

Crystal clear stream and chilly water... but when it rains, the water looked like TEH SI PENG!

Our first night, there was a No Apologies seminar, which was about pre-marital sex and abstitence is the wasy to avoid it...no hustle bustle lah.... Then we had our 1st punishin activity, NIGHT JUNGLE WALK! I expected the walk to be about half or 1 hour but NOoo, it turned out to be as long as almost 3hours! Most of the time spent waiting, waiting, waiting..... coz the trail was only for fit for not more than 1 person sideways. So imagine more than 100people in a very very long queue...waiting for the KTM ....yeah smtg like dat lah. Hhahaha plus, the ground was muddy and slippery! We slipped and knocked our legs over branches and twigs.....Jungle in Malaysia is such a pain.....There were some parts we had to sit on the muddy ground and slide down! Argh..... While we were waiting, we chatted, looked at some insects, disturbed the container tied to rubber trees to get latex, imagined that animals were hiding behind trees and ate some Oreo which was found in a one of my team member's(a guy's) pocket...lolz!

Next day, we had d seminar for 3 hours =.=...... then we were fired up (had to) for stream-trotting.. which took us about 2hours to get a small, tiny waterfall! *sweat*.....All the energy walking through the strong currents...stepping on rocks, climbing in between rocks( that was the hardest)! But we took a civilised road back, and it was only about 15mins walk! My goodness.......

Had games on the last day, under d hot burning sun.... All of us were waiting for the LAST game to end...anyway, my team= GOLF made a great effort! We got 3rd place, at least had some things to be proud of. Hahahhaa so we posted happily like children playing on slide :)

From left top: Eng Hoe, Eamon, Benny (oreo guy), Adam( team leader)
Left bottom: Felicia, Evelyn, Jia Ching, Anusha, me (all tent mates)
GOLF team!! Not that we play golf, it's because GOLF is the international code for G. =X

GOODBYE CAMP!
